No body told me
I was supposed to leave
My innocents behind me
No body told me
Toys where just for kids
Still I play with the feathers
That I’ve acquired

In the loving grip of innocents
I fall away from the sights we love
The feelings I grew up with now gone
Injustice brings into view
Blinded by you once where
Innocent hurting now left behind me

Love wasn’t supposed to be this hard!
Hate wasn’t supposed to feel like this!
Life couldn’t have anything like this!
Living doing the best I can for everyone
Sometimes isn’t my favorite thing to do..

Nobody told me
Innocents wasn’t free
Nobody told me
That everyone would leave me

You go up to yourself in the mirror
Who the hell is that im looking at
Why did you think it would be better
How could you be so stupid now..

I don't know if you've gone away from DA a long time ago (or gave up writing emo poetry in middle school like I did haha) but I was going through some of my old poems that I posted on here and saw your comments.
